Prioridade Absoluta

Prioridade Absoluta

Article 227 of the Brazilian Federal Constitution puts children first in the plans and concerns of the nation. To give visibility and contribute to the efficacy of this article, Alana released the Prioridade Absoluta program in November 2013.

The program website shares experiences of mobilization and advocacy, as well as templates for letters, petitions, complaints and lawsuits, so that law enforcers may act on the behalf of children. Prioridade Absoluta has the support of the Bar Association of Brazil (OAB).

The Prêmio Cidade da Criança (Cities for Children Award) was launched in 2015, a partnership between Prioridade Absoluta, Fundação Bernard van Leer and the Programa Cidades Sustentáveis. Learn more about it here.
